Letters to Fave: 3rd Month

You are now three months old, and we cannot help but be amazed with your development each day.

This month, you got your first shot of 5-in-1 and anti-polio vaccines a day before daddy’s birthday. It is our priority because you need it, and we want your ear pierced very soon. They still mistake you for a baby boy because you have not much hair. Nevertheless, you are such a beautiful baby.

Although some websites told us to check for diaper rashes, we are thankful that you do not have it even if we switch from one brand to another. And we also changed your diaper size already! From small, we are now using a medium one. Quiet a growth spurt, baby girl. 

What you do the most now is to suck your fingers. Whenever no one is talking to you or when you feel sleepy, your fingers will be immediately in your mouth. Still, you are dad’s alarm clock whenever you coo at dawn. You can also “talk” a lot now! You love smiling and talking to us very early in the morning, usually 5am. It seems that you like sharing your stories to us. You always giggle when we tell you you are beautiful and we love you.

One funny moment is when we placed a pony stuffed toy in your crib. We put you down so that mommy could take a bath (you love being carried by mom!). Because we know how much you love conversing with us and you stop crying when doing so, we thought of using a substitute. Guess what? Mommy was able to take a bath without the need for daddy to carry you! You became busy with talking to the little pony. However, after about 20 minutes of talking to it without receiving any response, you got irritated. And you cried. It was so funny to watch!

Another memorable one is experiencing typhoons during this stage. October 2020 was frequented with typhoons: Ofel, Pepito, Quinta, Rolly. Rolly is the strongest typhoon in the world in 2020, they say. Thankfully, it did not hit us that bad, but we felt Quinta a lot! It was scary to hear the winds blowing outside the house while you have an infant to care for. But we are safe. We are always guarded by our Creator, and daddy made sure that we had our necessities ready.

Kuya Zander and Kuya zion also visited you this month, and it is so adorable to see you three together. Kuya Zion even curiously asked why are your feet so small.

Our dearest Fave, you will always be our favorite human. You are growing smartly and beautifully each day. We simply love you. We are looking forward to more milestones ahead!
